Gold Mine, a 5-year-old son of Mr. Prospector, has been purchased by Mark and Denny Baker's Hallmark Stud for stallion duty at that farm near Te Kauwhata, New Zealand. Hallmark bought Gold Mine from the Young family's Overbrook Farm.
Gold Mine won or placed in seven of 18 races and earned $64,215 as an Overbrook homebred. His dam, Ocean Cat (by Storm Cat), is a multiple stakes winner. Gold Mine's fee is NZ$3,500 (approximately $2,200), plus GST.
