The results of an audit into operations of the old Kentucky Racing Commission will be released June 22 at the state capitol in Frankfort.

Kentucky Auditor Crit Luallen will announce the results of the "independent report," according to a June 18 press release. The press conference will include Daniel Groves, chief of staff for Gov. Ernie Fletcher; Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet Secretary LaJuana Wilcher; and Bill Street, chairman of the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority.

Fletcher abolished the racing commission in one of his first acts as governor earlier this year and replaced it with the racing authority. An audit began shortly thereafter.
