Graded stakes winner Sweetsouthernsaint was represented by his first winner when John Prete's homebred General John B won June 12 by eight lengths in 1:12.78 for six furlongs, scoring at Calder Race Course in his first start. Sweetsouthernsaint (Saint Ballado--Sweetsoutherncross, by Tri Jet) stands for $2,500 at Michael O'Farrell's Ocala Stud Farm near Ocala, Fla.
