Three Chimneys Farm has announced that pedigree analyst Anne Peters will join its staff as the farm's new Seasons and Matings Advisor beginning in August.
Peters had previously worked at Three Chimneys, located near Midway, Ky., in the 1980s. Peters has been editor of
Owner-Breeder International since 1999, and has been a frequent contributor to
Blood-Horse MarketWatch,
Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred, and
European Bloodstock News. She has also been a partner on the Web site thoroughbredheritage.com and was editor of pedigreepost.com.
She has also co-authored, with Alan Porter, the book "Patterns of Greatness II: The Americans," published in 1995.
"For as long as we have stood stallions, we have had the services of an on-staff pedigree analyst," said Three Chimneys owner Robert Clay in a prepared statement. "In fact, Anne was our very first pedigree analyist back when Slew o' Gold retired here in 1984. It is great to have her back in the family."
Peters will fill the position held by Ed Anthony for the last six years, who is leaving to pursue a writing career outside the Thoroughbred industry.
