The first 7,500 paying customers at Calder Race Course Saturday will receive a free color poster of jockey Rosemary Homeister Jr., the leading female jockey in the country this year. Calder is offering their Grand Slam II program Saturday featuring four graded stakes races and an all-stakes pick four wager. Homeister will guide Groomstick Stock's from post eight in Saturday's Fred W. Hooper Handicap (gr. III), which features highweight Sir Bear...Sportsman's Park will begin a reward points program, similar to a frequent flyer program, in which customers will earn points for every dollar wagered at the track. The points will be redeemable for prizes. The On-Track Reward player's club program will begin when the track's simulcast season starts on Jan. 2, 2001. Prizes include a Philips Magnavox plasma television, a leather recliner, Callaway golf clubs, and more. The all-time leading jockey is scheduled to ride in seven of the eight races at Santa Anita that day...Tiznow's trainer Jay Robbins declared the troubled left front foot of the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) winner "perfect." However, Robbins added that the 3-year-old "was a little too quiet (Thursday) morning, like he was trying to get sick." Robbins is pointing Tiznow for a start in the San Fernando Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita Jan. 13.
