West Point Thoroughbreds' Seattle Fitz, the handy winner of the (gr. III) Schaefer Handicap at Pimlico on Preakness Day, will be entered in Saturday's $250,000 Brooklyn Handicap (gr. II) at Belmont Park, according to West Point president Terry Finley.

"We were delighted with his race in the Schaefer, and he's coming to the Brooklyn in good shape," said Finley. "He earned his career-high Beyer (111) at Belmont last year, so we know he's comfortable there, too. We're expecting a very good effort from him on Saturday."

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, he will be ridden by Richard Migliore, who rode Seattle Fitz to victory in the Schaefer.

The 5-year-old Argentinian bred earned a lofty 111 Beyer figure in registering his second grade III win of the campaign, having scored in the Aqueduct Handicap in mid-January. He also has a runner-up finish to Medaglia d'Oro in the (gr. I) Donn Handicap to his 2004 credits.
