TVG Promotes COO O'Hara to President

Ryan O'Hara, the recently appointed chief operating officer of TV Games Network, has been promoted to president, parent company Gemstar-TV Guide announced Thursday.
Among O'Hara's duties as president will be to oversee the network's programming and wagering and managing TVG's content relationships with track partners. He will also work with TV Guide's Affiliate Sales group to secure long-term carriage deals, according to Gemstar.
O'Hara was appointed COO of TVG in February. He joined Gemstar-TV Guide as senior vice president of business development and strategic planning in June 2002.
Said Jeff Shell, Gemstar-TV Guide's chief executive officer: "Since coming to Gemstar-TV Guide two years ago, Ryan has played a central role in furthering TVG's growth, and he is the perfect person to lead TVG as we continue widening its footprint as the leading interactive horseracing network."
