Frankel Scratches Leroidesanimaux from Shoemaker

Trainer Bobby Frankel scratched Leroidesanimaux from the Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) Monday at Hollywood Park because of sore feet.

Leroidesanimaux was a supplementary entry to the turf event.

"His front feet were stinging him, especially the left one," explained assistant Humberto Ascanio. "The vet looked at him. We're treating him with hot water and Epsom salts."

Brazilian import Leroidesanimaux won the Inglewood Handicap (gr. IIIT) in his last start on May 1 in course-record time for 1 1/16 miles.
