(from Woodbine report)
One For Rose certainly gives special meaning to the term 'flower power.'

The dark bay, last year's champion older female in Canada, will compete against the boys in Monday's $163,350 Eclipse Stakes (Can-III), the first test of her 5-year-old campaign, a 1 1/16-mile main track event at Woodbine.

The Tucci Stables' star, who closed out 2003 with three consecutive wins, including the Maple Leaf Stakes (Can-III), has been money in the bank over 14 lifetime starts, winning eight times, along with two seconds and a pair of third-place efforts.

Small wonder she's become a favorite of trainer Sid Attard.

"She'll go all day long, the longer the better for her," insists Attard, who watched has watched 'Rose' bloom into one of the Toronto oval's most prominent performers.

The mare will be sporting one new look in the Eclipse. Todd Kabel, last year's champion rider in Canada, gets his first leg up aboard One For Rose. The veteran pilot, along with Attard, will be looking for his first Eclipse crown.

One For Rose's regular rider Emile Ramsammy is aboard Kelynack Racing Stable's Open Concert, winner of last year's Labeeb Stakes.
