Bridgmohan Involved in Spill at Aqueduct

Jockey Shawn Bridgmohan was thrown from his mount, Steve's Thunder, approaching the stretch during Aqueduct's first race on Saturday and was taken to North Shore University Hospital.

Bridgmohan's mount clipped the heels of Tom's Thunder, who came out into his path. Tom's Thunder went on to win the race but was disqualified and placed last.

According to his agent, Vic Gilardi, Bridgmohan was treated at the hospital for "a couple of broken ribs."
