Fires Visits Arlington Winner's Circle for 37th Year

Hall of Fame jockey Earlie Fires, Arlington Park's all-time leading rider, won a the Chicago track for a record 37th season Sunday when he guided James Messineo's Major Rhythm to a rousing win in the eighth race of the afternoon.

Fires brought home Major Rhythm, who came from off the pace, with a driving 2 3/4-length tally for trainer Edward Beam.
