Multiple classic runner-up Aptitude is bound for Dubai World Cup.
Juddmonte Farms' Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Belmont Stakes (gr. I) runner-up Aptitude will be pointed to a start in the Dubai World Cup (UAE-I), according to a report in Racing Post.

Though second in two classics, Aptitude has only two wins, those coming in the maiden and preliminary allowance ranks. In his most recent start, the son of A.P. Indy -- Dokki, by Northern Dancer, finished eighth in the Clark Handicap (gr. II).

Trainer Bobby Frankel told Racing Post that tests following the Clark revealed a slight breathing problem for the colt which has since been corrected by surgery.

"He should be ready to run by mid-February," Frankel told the paper. "I want to get one race into him, then go to Dubai."
