Broadway Stables' Go Go Baby Go eclipsed a Pimlico Race Course track record for five furlongs on the turf that was set only five races previously, leading every step to win the $75,000 The Very One Stakes Friday.
The 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred mare by Marked Tree knocked one one-hundredth of a second off the track mark set by Nortouch in Friday's seventh race.
Go Go Baby Go's winning time was :56.02 over the firm going.
Jockey Ryan Fogelsonger enjoyed the front-running trip aboard the Kathleen Demasi trainee, who paid $27.20, $16 and $6.80 in a field of nine. She beat Oh Say Vicki ($19 and $7.20) by a half-length. Boozin Susan ($3.20) was third.
