Day Wins Five at Churchill, Pads Riding Lead

(from Churchill Downs)Pat Day, Churchill Down's all-time leading rider, continued his spring hot streak on Wednesday, winning five races from seven mounts for his 22nd five-win-performance at the Louisville track.
Wednesday's winners came aboard More Than Perfect ($3.40, 1st race), Scrimshaw ($3.60, 3rd), Miles of Glory ($6.60, 6th), Justice for Auston ($8.40, 8th) and No More Chads ($5.00).
It was the Hall of Fame rider's first five-win afternoon at Churchill since June 6, 2001. His first Churchill five-win day came on May 4, 1983.
Day has collected 11 victories in the past three racing days, to give him a 21-16 lead over Rafael Bejarano in the jockey's race.
