Half-Sister to Cheiron Debuts in Nursery Stakes

(from Hollywood Park notesFortunate Event, a half-sister to Snow Chief Stakes winner Cheiron, will make her debut in the $75,000-added Nursery Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at five furlongs at Hollywood Park Sunday.
Yan Durepaire, assistant to trainer Kristin Mulhall, confirmed the decision, on Wednesday.
Fortunate Event, by Event of the Year out of the
Wild Again mare Fortunee, has compiled a lengthy work tab here. Jose Valdivia, Jr. will ride the California-bred filly for owners David Bienstock, Neil Papiano, Winner Stables and Noctis LLC.
A field of at least eight will compete in the Nursery. Joining Fortunate Event will be Rents Due (Alex Solis), Swiss Please (David Nuesch), Bee A Lion (Mick Ruis), Bella Banissa (Corey Nakatani), Double D Appeal (Victor Espinoza), Kelly's Princess (Martin Pedroza) and Princess Godiva.
