There is less than a 50-50 chance that Saturday's Preakness Stakes (gr. I) at Pimlico will be run over a wet track, as was the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) on May 1.

According The Weather Channel's www.weather.com, the forecast for Baltimore on Saturday is for a high temperature of 85 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, with scattered thunderstorms and a 40% chance of precipitation.

On Friday, when the Preakness weekend kicks off with a solid stakes lineup at Pimlico, the forecast is calling for partly cloud skies, high of 86 degrees, and only a 20% chance of precipitation.
