TOBA To Host New Owners Seminar at Churchill Downs

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will conduct its New and Prospective Owners seminar on Sunday, May 16, at Churchill Downs. The seminar, to be held in conjunction with Churchill Downs Inc., will feature presentations by accountant David Smith (Barr, Anderson & Roberts), attorney Barry Stilz, (Kinkead & Stilz), trainer Jeff Greenhill, owner Brian Miles, Jack Smith of Jack Smith Thoroughbreds, and The Jockey Club Information Systems' Tony Ottaiano.

The seminar will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the Jockey Club Suites' Derby Room and includes breakfast, lunch, and a day of racing in one of Churchill Downs's new suites.

The registration fee for the New and Prospective Owner Seminar is $50 for TOBA members and $75 for non-members and includes all support materials, admission and presentations. Spouses and groups of four or more will receive a discount on the registration fee. Space is still available for this seminar.

TOBA's next seminar is a New Owner Seminar scheduled for June 4 at Belmont Park. Registration that seminar will close at noon EDT on June 1. For a full listing of TOBA seminars and clinics visit www.toba.org.
