Song of the Sword Gets First Workout at Churchill

Edited from Kentucky Derby notes team reportParaneck Stable's Song of the Sword got his first work over the Churchill Downs track Wednesday, breezing three-eighths of a mile in :35 4/5 under exercise rider Kevin Grau.
Officially, the Churchill clockers credited the son of
Unbridled's Song with a half-mile work in :49 2/5.
"He enjoyed the surface," said trainer Jennifer Pederson, who vanned the colt to Churchill Downs from Keeneland on Tuesday "He seems to like it. I'm pleased."
Song of the Sword has won three of his five starts, and finished second in the Illinois Derby (gr. II) and third in the Lexington Stakes (gr. II).
