Gold Alert to Gentry Farm in Texas

Gold Alert, sire of grade I winner Golden Bri, has been acquired by Anthony Gentry's Gentry Farms for stallion duty at the Boerne, Texas, farm. The 21-year-old son of Mr. Prospector stands for $2,500 live foal.

Formerly owned by the late John Franks, 21-year-old Gold Alert has sired 14 stakes winners and the earners of $15.3 million. In addition to Golden Bri, who won the 1995 Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I), Gold Alert is represented by graded stakes winners U Can Do It, Mil Kilates, and Gold n Delicious, plus foreign champions Jed Forest (in Panama) and Still Alert (in Trinidad).

Gold Alert, who was produced from the Arts and Letters' mare Croquis, last stood at Franks Farm near Ocala, Fla.
