More Than Ready represented in the Gallorette by Grace is Ready

Four sires with progeny entered in one of the seven turf races carded at Pimlico Race Course May 20 have already been represented by two more turf stakes winners at the Baltimore track.

These top grass sires are WinStar Farm's More Than Ready  , Ashford Stud's stalwart Giant's Causeway  , Ramsey Farm's Kitten's Joy  , and Darley's Elusive Quality  .

While each sire has had two black-type stakes winners at Pimlico during the 2000-16 racing seasons, More Than Ready is the only one with a graded stakes winner. He will be represented in the $150,000 Gallorette Stakes (G3T) by Grace is Ready, a filly out of Sister Graceful (Mr. Greeley). A homebred for Quest Realty, Grace is Ready has only been tested in a restricted stakes last year and faces tough company in the Gallorette. She broke her maiden on the Pimlico turf last June.

Giant's Causeway didn't have any graded stakes winners during the same time period but had 25% winners from turf starters. He is represented in race 6, a $35,000 allowance, by My Giant, a 5-year-old gelding raced by Windmill Manor Farm. My Giant returns to the grass after five tries on dirt. He's already placed at Pimlico and earned his highest Equibase Speed Figure of 94 on the turf.
