Turfway Park canceled racing for the fifth consecutive card after Sunday racing was called off due to inclement weather and the inability of the track maintenance crew to keep the track clean and safe. Turfway has not raced since the Wednesday night card was scrapped following two inches of snow and freezing rain. The track remained open Sunday for simulcasting... Strolling Belle won the Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct for the second straight year when she was awarded first place Saturday in the grade III race following a stewards' inquiry. Pentatonic was first to the wire by two lengths, but Strolling Belle's jockey Herberto Castillo Jr., claimed a foul, saying the Pentatonic bumped his horse in the stretch. After studying replays, the stewards agreed and reversed the order of finish. Reine Amandine was another half-length back, finishing third in the field of seven. Strolling Belle, assigned high weight of 120 pounds, covered 1 1/4 miles in on the muddy racing surface in 2:06 3/5 and earned $66,000 for Red Oak Stable. Strolling Belle paid $4.50, $2.60 and $2.30, while Pentatonic paid $3.20 and $2.70. Reine Amandine paid $4.40 to show.
