Move To Strike Wins Star De Naskra

Move To Strike charged to the lead and kept his opponents at bay to win Sunday's $75,000 Star De Naskra Stakes for 3-year-old Maryland breds at Pimlico.
Jockey Rick Wilson rode the son of Two Punch to victory in 1:11 1/5 for the six furlongs on the main track. Second time starter Known Back Home raced greenly but closed into a head wind to gain the place, a half-length behind. Hands On forced the issue from the start but tired through the lane and had to settle for third.
The winner paid $4.20, $2.80 and $2.10. Known Back Home returned $3.20 and $2.10. Hands On showed for $2.20. The exacta returned $11.40.
Michael Gill owns Move To Strike and John Robb is his trainer. The win was the 15th of meet for Team Gill and 81st of the year in Maryland for the nation's leading owner.
