Starlight Stable and Saylor's Ashado, runnerup to Madcap Escapade in the Ashland Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland in her last start, returnd to the same track Sunday, working five furlongs in a spirited :59 2/5.

Ashado drilled in the company of Eugene and Laura Melnyk's multiple stakes-winner Speightstown. The daughter of Saint Ballado went head-to-head with her older male rival, the Todd Pletcher team finishing right together.

Ashado is scheduled to make her next start in the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) at Churchill Downs on April 30. Plans for Speightstown, a son of Gone West named for a Barbados hamlet, are pending.
