Fusaichi Pegasus' First Starter Runs Second

Killenaule, the first runner for 2000 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Fusaichi Pegasus, ran second in a maiden special weight race at 4 1/2 furlongs for 2-year-olds April 15 at Keeneland. The colt, in midpack duing the early going, swung to the outside entering the stretch and got within two lengths of winner Cherokee Path at the finish. Killenaule is owned by Michael Tabor and was bred by High Creek Farm.
