Blue Sunday, an
A.P. Jet colt, was among the standout performers Wednesday during the first session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s April sale of 2-year-olds in training. He worked a quarter in :21 4/5 to post the fastest work for the distance. The colt is a half brother to stakes winner Infinite Justice and is out of stake-placed Manor Queen (by
Wavering Monarch). His consignor is Nick de Meric, agent.
Horses battled a stiff headwind the entire session. There were gusts of up to 20 miles per hour.
A colt by
Mazel Trick out of Lip Code (by Lost Code) posted the session's fastest eighth of a mile, stopping the timer in :10 2/5. The chestnut colt is consigned by Tony Bowling and Bobby Dodd, agents.
A colt by Hesabull, consigned by Bowling and Dodd, worked the session's fastest three eighths of mile with a :34 4/5 clocking. The bay colt is out of June Taylor Dancer (by Darn That Alarm).
The under tack show continues Thursday morning. Sessions also are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
