Trainer Bob Baffert's gray Triple Crown duo of Preachinatthebar and Wimbledon were both out for workouts over Santa Anita's fast main track on Monday morning.

With regular exercise rider Dana Barnes aboard, San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) winner Preachinatthebar went five furlongs in :58 3/5 in preparation for his next start in the April 10 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland. The son of Silver Charm is owned by Mike Pegram.

Louisiana Derby (gr. II) hero Wimbledon, who will start in Saturday's Santa Anita Derby (gr. I), went the same distance in :59 1/5, also with Barnes aboard. Wimbledon, a son of Wild Rush is owned by Jim McIngvale.

"They are both very nice horses," Baffert said. "I'm just trying to keep them healthy and happy. They're both stepping up to a mile and an eighth; (so) I don't want to kill them now."

Also working Monday was Santa Anita Oaks (gr. I) heroine Silent Sighs, who logged three furlongs in :35 for trainer Julio Canani. The California-bred daughter of Benchmark will start next in the April 30 Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) at Churchill Downs.

Champion Halfbridled, who was second in the Santa Anita Oaks in her sophomore debut, fired a bullet half-mile in :47 1/5 for trainer Richard Mandella. The big dark bay daughter of Unbridled was caught galloping out in :59 4/5 and earned the last quarter mile in :22 4/5, according to clockers. She's set to start in Saturday's Ashland Stakes (gr.
