West Point Thorougbreds' Seattle Fitz, runner-up to Medaglia d'Oro in the Feb. 7 Donn Handicap (gr. I) at Gulfstream Park, worked four furlongs in :47 1/5 at Palm Meadows Training Center March 29 in preparation for the April 3 Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. II).

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, the 5-year-old Argentinian-bred by Fitzcarraldo finished fourth in the Feb. 29 New Orleans Handicap (gr. II) at Fair Grounds in his most recent start. Earlier this year, he won the Aqueduct Handicap (gr. III) in New York.

"There are no excuses heading into this race," said Terry Finley, founder and president of West Point. "This is right where we want to be. He ran very well against Medaglia d'Oro in the Donn, and he has shown an affinity for this racecourse. He's comfortable down here, and there's no shipping involved with this race, which can take its toll."

Aaron Gryder is named to ride Seattle Fitz in the 1 1/4-mile Gulfstream Park Handicap.
