Jockey Zoe Cadman, a past riding champion at Hawthorne Race Course in Illinois, has retired.
Cadman, 29, was recently married to jockey Larry Sterling Jr. She began her riding career at Arlington Park in 2000, winning aboard her first mount, Prize and Joy on June 10. She became the first female rider in Chicago history to win a meet riding title when she won the spring 2001 Hawthorne title, guiding home 36 winners for the meet.
Cadman also holds the distinction of being the all-time leading female rider at Arlington, surpassing Donna Barton in 2002. She had won two of 12 starts during the current National Jockey Club at Hawthorne meet.
