Peace Rules Is 2003 Florida-Bred Horse of the Year
Peace Rules was honored as 2003 Florida-bred Horse of the Year Monday night during the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association's annual awards dinner in Ocala. Last year, the 4-year-old son of Jules earned more than $1.8 million and captured the Haskell Invitational Handicap (gr. I), Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I), and Louisiana Derby (gr. II). He also was second in the Travers Stakes (gr. I) and third in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I).It previously had been announced that Peace Rules was the 2003 champion Florida-bred 3-year-old colt.Bred by Ron Chak's Newchance Farm, Peace Rules is owned by Edmund Gann and trained by Bobby Frankel.
