(from Santa Anita notes)Undefeated 3-year-old Rock Hard Ten, impressive in his two victories thus far, is not definite for the $750,000 Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) on April 3, trainer Jason Orman said.
"We're not sure yet," the 35-year-old conditioner said. "We don't know where we're going yet. We're going to work him a couple times and see how he is, see how those other races come up and go from there. We're just kind of waiting to see how well he comes out of his works."
Mercedes Stable LLC and Madeleine Paulson own the dark bay or brown Kris S. colt, who won a one-mile allowance race March 3. He has earnings of $57,600.
