Jockey Club Launches New Specialized, Real-Time Service

Press release from The Jockey ClubAfter more than a year of planning, The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. (TJCIS) announced today the launch of equineline.com, a new Internet-based equine portfolio service, scheduled to go on line Monday.
The new service, developed with assistance from owners, breeders, trainers and farm managers nationwide, provides information constantly updated in real-time.
"We're really excited about equineline.com and believe it's going to revolutionize the way owners and breeders manage their equine interests," said Carl E. Hamilton, the president of TJCIS. "Individuals and businesses in every facet of the Thoroughbred industry are becoming increasingly more reliant on today's digital economy in their daily operations. This system will serve as an aggregator that searches out and delivers information rather than individuals searching the Internet to find fragments of information at different sites."
For a monthly subscription fee, an equineline.com subscriber can create a portfolio that will feature, among other things:
--automated notification of entries, results and workouts for horses in training, as well as building an on-going archive of this information.
--Immediate update of produce records for broodmares, including notification of entries, results and workouts for each mare's progeny.
--Access to an Interactive Condition Book, where equineline.com scans multiple condition books at participating racetracks for race conditions matching a horse's eligibility.
--A secure messaging system designed to enhance communication among owners, breeders, trainers and farm personnel.
--The ability to track revenues and expenses pertaining to each horse.
--5x pedigrees for any horse in the portfolio.

As an introductory offer, the monthly subscription fee will be $24.95 for a 10-horse portfolio; additional horses may be added for an additional $2.49 per horse per month.
The entire menu of pedigree and performance information previously offered by Equine Line-- 2000 will continue to be available to both equineline.com subscribers as well as existing customers.
Hamilton announced launch date for the new service after providing a sneak preview of equineline.com for attendees at the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program's annual Symposium on Racing in Tucson.
