Daniel Swigert Combs II, Leslie Combs II's Grandson, Dead

Daniel Swigert Combs II, whose grandfather, Leslie Combs II, founded Spendthrift Farm near Lexington, died Feb. 27 in his sleep at his Fort Myers, Fla., home. He was 44 and had suffered from medical problems for several years.
Combs served as president for a time of the Kentucky Training Center near Lexington. His father, Brownell Combs II, served as president of Spendthrift.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his mother and a daughter.
