TVG to Remain on DISH Network

TV Games Network will continue to be distributed on the DISH Network after an agreement was reached on a four-year patent dispute between their parent companies.

Gemstar-TV Guide Tuesday agreed to license its interactive program guide technology to EchoStar Communications Corp. for a one-time payment of $190 million. EchoStar will launch TV Guide Channel on its DISH Network and continue to air TVG, the Associated Press reported.

Gemstar stock rose 11%, or 84 cents, to $8.34 a share Tuesday morning on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
