Empire Maker Gets First Two Mares In Foal

Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms announced that the first two mares bred to farm stallion Empire Maker
are in foal. One of the mares, Dokki, is owned by Juddmonte and is the dam of grade I winners Aptitude
and Sleep Easy. Millionaire Aptitude stands at Juddmonte near Lexington.
The other mare, Cappucino Bay, is owned by Albert and Joyce Bell and is the dam of grade I winner Medaglia d'Oro. Cappucino Bay is boarded at Lonnie Owens' Katalpa Farm near Paris, Ky.
Millionaire Empire Maker (Unbridled -- Toussaud, by El Gran Senor) scored his big wins in the Belmont (gr. I) and Wood Memorial (gr. I) Stakes and the Florida Derby (gr. I). He stands for $100,000.
