Two Mares in Foal to Mineshaft

William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm reported that the first two mares are in foal to 2003 Horse of the Year Mineshaft  . Lyphard's Delta, an English group II-winning daughter of Lyphard, was checked Feb. 29 and pronounced in foal. Owned by Palides Investments N.V., Lyphard's Delta is the dam of full sisters Indy Five Hundred, a grade I winner, and Delta Princess, a grade III winner. Both are by Mineshaft's sire, A.P. Indy.

Megans Bluff, by Pine Bluff, was pronounced in foal March 1. Owned by James Routsong, Megans Bluff is a grade II winner who earned $743,263.

Mineshaft, who was produced from the Mr. Prospector mare Prospectors Delite, stands at Lane's End for $100,000.
