(from Santa Anita report)
Trainer Wesley Ward expects Pesci to make a full recovery after being hit in her left eye during the Sunshine Millions Distaff at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 24.

"We're just taking our time with her," Ward said of the 4-year-old daughter of Stormy Atlantic   who is named for actor Joe Pesci, who owns part of the filly.

"She was hit with a rock but she's doing good," Ward said. "She's still at Palm Meadows (in Florida) but we definitely plan to race her again. As soon as she gets ready I'll start laying her down a little bit more. She hasn't even worked since her race. She's about ready, though."
