Antley's Friend Released; Police Have No Suspects in Jockey's Death

A friend of jockey Chris Antley has been released from police custody after pleading not guilty to charges associated with an incident earlier this year at Antley's house, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The newspaper reported that Timothy Wyman Tyler Jr., 24, was taken into custody by the sheriff's department on drug and drunk driving charges from two other arrest warrants. Tyler, who is from a prominent Pasadena, Calif., family, is not a suspect in the death of Antley, who was found dead Saturday night as a result of a blunt blow to his head, according to the newspaper.

According to the Times, Tyler was arrested on warrants issued for his arrest after he did not appear for a court date. In September, Tyler and Antley were arrested on methamphetamine-related charges at the jockey's home in the San Rafael neighborhood, according to the newspaper. The Times said it was unclear whether Antley faced any charges from the incident.

Meanwhile, California friends of Antley continued to reflect on his life after he left the saddle earlier this year.
