The first foal for the stallion Max's Pal
is a filly born Feb. 8 at Roy Lerman's Lambholm South near Reddick, Fla. Bred by Junior Serna, the filly is the third foal from the Polish Numbers' mare Annie's Sister. A nine-time stakes winner, Max's Pal (Marquetry
--Singin Up a Storm, by Storm Cat
) stands for $2,500 at the farm.
John and Jerry Amerman's graded stakes winner Printemps is the first mare pronounced in foal to millionaire and grade I winner Lido Palace
, who stands at Lambholm. Lido Palace and Printemps were both champions in Chile before winning graded stakes in the U.S. for the Amermans. Lido Palace (Rich Man's Gold--Sonada, by Quick Decision) stands for $8,500. Printemps (Hussonet
--Wrist, by Worldwatch) was retired after the 2003 racing season.
