Magna Entertainment Corp., in conjunction with New York City Off-Track Betting, has launched a half-hour preview show that will air race days on OTB's cable television channel. The show, "Gulfstream and Santa Anita Today," premiered Feb. 25. It will preview selected races from each day's cards from Magna's South Florida and Southern California racetracks.
Originating from Gulfstream, the show is hosted by handicapper and racing analyst Joanne Jones. It will be telecast live at 9:30 a.m. (EST) and will be repeated at 10:30 a.m. (EST).
"We're excited to partner with New York City OTB," said Magna vice president of television production Greg Lewis. "The show will allow us to showcase premier racing at both venues while providing New York area racing fans the chance to better familiarize themselves with the Gulfstream and Santa Anita products. It's a great market for horse racing and we're glad to be a larger part of it."
