Two-time Carter Handicap (gr. I) winner Dads Caps is scheduled to make his first start in more than seven months in the rescheduled $150,000 Toboggan Stakes (gr. III) Jan. 30 at Aqueduct Racetrack.

Vincent Scuderi's homebred Dads Caps won the 2014 and 2015 editions of the Carter sprinting seven furlongs on the Aqueduct main track. Saturday he'll try the six-furlong test for older horses on the inner track in the race originally scheduled for Jan. 18 but postponed because of winter weather.

Dads Caps will be making his first start since finishing third in the True North Handicap (gr. II) June 5 at Belmont Park. He has been working regularly for trainer Rudy Rodriguez and earned the bullet in works on Jan. 9 and Jan. 21.

Dads Caps has finished second in the past two editions of the Toboggan.

While Dads Caps will try to win off an long layoff, Green Gratto will try to continue his winning ways with a third straight stakes win at Aqueduct after closing 2015 with victories in the Fall Highweight Handicap (gr. III) Nov. 26 on the main track followed by a score a month later in the Gravesend Stakes on the inner dirt.

Gaston and Anthony Grant's Green Gratto finished second to Dads Caps in last year's Carter. Green Gratto will start from the outside in Saturday's race.
