Olivier Peslier rode a winner on both days of the 14th World Super Jockeys Series en route to winning the four-race series by 13 points over Yutaka Take Sunday in Japan. Peslier was tied for third behind Jerry Bailey and Australian Damien M. Oliver after Saturday's two series races but rallied Sunday to clinch the victory.
"It gives me double pleasure as a representative from France and also as a jockey backed by the Japanese fans," said Peslier. "I'm delighted to have won this prestigious event for the second time."
Take rode the winner in the series' last race, the Golden Whip Trophy, to finish second, two points ahead of Robert Fradd. Bailey finished fourth, followed by Oliver. Kent Desormeaux finished seventh, John Murtagh eighth, and Frankie Dettori was 11th of 14.
