Maloofs' King Palm Debuts Monday

King Palm, a Florida-bred colt by
Halo's Image who makes his debut in Monday's sixth race, is owned by the Maloof brothers, Joe and Gavin, who own the Sacramento Kings and the Palm, the posh Las Vegas casino.
"We hooked up through a mutual friend," said Vladimir Cerin, who trains the 3-year-old colt. "They'll be here to watch the horse run and I usually talk with them once a week to let them know how the horse is doing."
Cerin said King Palm is the Maloofs' only horse at the moment.
