The 40-year-old Hall of Fame jockey had not ridden in a race since she suffered upper chest injuries in a two-horse spill at Hollywood Park on Dec.12.

Krone rode three horses Wednesday: Fade to Blue, who finished fifth and last in the third race, 19-10 favorite Star Wizard who finished sixth in the fifth and Devious Boy, who finished sixth at 6-1 in the seventh.

In the day's feature, Singletary made his first start in five months a good one, rallying to win the $71,350 Thunder Road Handicap by a length Wednesday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza, Singletary covered a mile on the turf in 1:34.42 and paid $20.60, $7.80 and $4.60.

Inesperado returned $3.80 and $3, while Apache Wings was another half-length back and paid $6.80 to show.

The victory, worth $42,810, was the fourth in 11 career starts for Singletary, named for former Chicago Bears linebacker Mike Singletary.

Trained by Don Chatlos Jr., Singletary hadn't raced since Sept. 6 when he was fifth in the Del Mar Derby. Billy Koch, the grandson of famed Hollywood director Howard W. Koch, owns the Kentucky bred.
