Northview Stallion Station has purchased a 50% interest in Lion Hearted from Odgen Mills Phipps and will stand the graded stakes-placed son of Storm Cat at their facility near Chesapeake City, Md.
The 4-year-old Lion Hearted (Storm Cat-Cadillacing, by Alydar) won four of 18 starts and earned $191,370. He ran second in the Riva Ridge S. (gr. II) at Belmont Park and the Amsterdam Stakes (gr. III) at Saratoga last year at three. His last start was a sixth-place finish in the seven-furlong Sport Page Handicap (gr. III) at Aqueduct on Nov. 4.
Lion Hearted's dam, Cadillacing, is a full sister to champion Easy Goer and the dam of grade I winner Strolling Along. Lion Hearted's second dam is champion Relaxing.
Richard Golden, president of Northview Stallion Station said Phipps will retain a 50% interest in Lion Hearted. A stud fee has not been announced
