Trainer Ralph Ziadie reports last year's Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) winner Silver Wagon is "90%" sure to run in the Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II) Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
"He's doing well after his work – it was very good for him, but we won't make a final decision until Friday night or Saturday morning," said Ziadie whose colt missed five days of training last week with a bruised hoof but returned to the track Monday with a bullet seven-furlong drill.
"We're willing to take a chance, but he still hasn't been back to the track since the workout and there could be something that goes wrong when he does that. I'd say he's 90-95% that he will run."
Ziadie has booked jockey Jose Santos to ride Silver Wagon now that Jerry Bailey has opted to ride Read the Footnotes.
