Pleasantly Perfect's half-sister, a Lemon Drop Kid   filly, was born Feb. 8 at Robin F. Scully's Clovelly Farms near Lexington. Bred by Clovelly, the filly is out of the Affirmed mare Regal State, who is booked to Rahy.

Pleasantly Perfect, last year's winner of the Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I), won the San Antonio Handicap (gr. II) Jan. 31 for the second consecutive in his 6-year-old debut. Trained by Richard Mandella, the son of Pleasant Colony cracked the $3-million mark with the triumph. Mandella also has Pleasantly Perfect's 2-year-old half-brother, Calvary Charge (by Honour and Glory) in training.

Millionaire Lemon Drop Kid (Kingmambo--Charming Lassie, by Seattle Slew) was champion older male in 2000. He stands at William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm near Versailles, Ky.
