Evangeline Sale Will Include Franks Horses

Evangeline Downs' 2-year-old in training and paddock sale has its largest catalogue ever, with 143 horses. There will be 94 head (all in training) from the estate of Louisiana oilman John Franks. In addition, the catalogue will have 37 2-year-olds and a dozen older horses of racing age

The sale is scheduled for March 14 at the Louisiana track, beginning at 10 a.m. (CST). The under tack show is scheduled for March 13, starting at noon. A gala is also planned for the evening of March 13 at 7:30 in the track's clubhouse. Tickets for the event are $15 in advance and $20 the night of the gala.

Evangeline Downs will team up with Steadmans, Inc., to conduct the auction, which is in its second year.
