Darley's Australian branch has announced the addition of
Dubai Destination and Cape Cross to its roster for the 2004 season, its first in its new headquarters at Aberdeen, closer to the heart of the Hunter Valley.
Dubai Destination, a $1.5 million Keeneland July yearling and English group I winner, won four of eight races and earned $380,359. His season of £25,000 at Dalham Hall makes him as expensive as any freshman sire in Europe this year. A 5-year-old, Dubai Destination is by
Kingmambo out of the Alleged mare Mysterial.
Darley also decided to transfer English champion Cape Cross from New Zealand. The 10-year-old son of Green Desert worked his past four seasons at Waikato stud in Cambridge, which had tried to purchase him.
