Aqueduct's leading trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. is facing a hearing with stewards this week after calling in early Sunday to scratch all four of his runners off the afternoon program.
No specific information was released other than to confirm that Dutrow scratched on his own accord due to a "medication error" within his barn.
The incident comes a year to the weekend after Gary Contessa-then Aqueduct's leading trainer-making a similar phone call to stewards. At the time, Contessa admitted several of his horses had tested positive for the herbal supplement, ephedra, but those positives were not announced officially for several months.
Dutrow could not be reached Sunday and stewards did not comment about whether or not any of Dutrow's runners had returned a positive test.
As of early Monday, all four of Dutrow's runners entered for Wednesday were set to run under Dutrow's name.
