Asmussen's Huge Day: 10 Wins at Five Tracks

Eternal Cup's win in the American Beauty at Oaklawn was one of trainer Steve Asmussen's run of ten victories at five tracks in one day this past Saturday.
Trainer Steve Asmussen, who is leading the nation's conditioners in victories and purse earnings in 2004, won 10 races on Saturday at five tracks.
Asmussen won three races at both Oaklawn Park and Sunland, two at Delta Downs and one each at Fair Grounds and Sam Houston.
At Oaklawn, Asmussen recorded victories with Grandstand Parade ($13.40 in the sixth), Eternal Cup ($14.40 in the ninth) and Western Royalty ($6 in the 10th). At Sunland, his winners were Crockett ($5.60 in the fifth), Jimmy Jones ($12.40 in the 8th) and Youngus ($5.40 in ninth). At Delta Downs, Asmussen's winners were Master John ($3.20 in the second) and Spritely Walker ($3.60 in the 8th). He also saddled Dazzle Me ($5.20 in the fifth) at Fair Grounds and Valid Purchase ($5 in race two) at Sam Houston to triumphs.
